WHAT IF EVERYBODY DID THAT? SEQUENCING CRAFT

WHAT IF EVERYBODY DID THAT?
BY ELLEN JAVERNICK
SEQUENCING CRAFT

If you drop just one soda can out the window, it’s no big deal ... right? But what if everybody did that? What if everybody broke the rules ... and spoke during story
time, didn’t wash up, or splashed too much at the pool? Then the world would be a mess. But what if everybody obeyed the rules so that the world would become a
better place? Using humorous illustrations rendered in mixed media, these questions are answered in a child-friendly way and show the consequences of thoughtless behavior.

Set of sequencing for the story.

1 Easy Version in order to color
1 Version with a picture clue
1 Harder Version student needs to put in correct sequence order
1 Teachers Example

CLOTHESLINE CLUES TO JOBS PEOPLE DO BOOK CRAFT

Clothesline Clues to Jobs People Do
By Kathryn Heling

Who wears what to work? The clues in each lively verse can be spotted hanging from the clotheslines. A mail carrier’s uniform, the artist’s brushes, and the chef’s apron all hang from the clothesline. Then turn the page to learn which professionals wear and use the special gear in the jobs they do. Clever illustrations show the workers helping one another, and in the end, everyone joins together for
a celebration that is out of this world.

by Vanessa Reeder

Terrance the turtle was born without a shell, so he uses a cardboard box instead. Terrance loves his box. It keeps him dry on soggy days, safe from snooping strangers, and is big enough to cozy up with a friend. But when another turtle points out that Terrance's shell is, well, weird, he begins to wonder whether there might be a better shell out there...

Eventually, and through much trial and error, Terrance learns that there's nothing wrong with being different--especially when it comes to being yourself.
