Unit Overview: Penny and Her Doll 

Theme: Patience, Identity, and Imagination.

Focus: Penny receives a beautiful doll from her grandmother, but she can’t decide on a name. She spends the story observing the doll, playing with her, and waiting for the “right” name to pop into her head. The unit focuses on the idea that some things shouldn’t be rushed and that our imaginations help us connect with the world.
