HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOON by Frank Asch

Moonbear discovers that he and the moon share the same birthday. Now Moonbear wants to give his nighttime friend a present. But what do you buy the moon? Amazon Book Review

Pop Up Sequencing Craft

I have provided a color and B/W version of the craft. I know colored ink is expensive, so I added colored for the teacher to make an example. I know the circles might be hard to cut for younger students, so possibly you can send home for an adult to help with circles. Each craft comes with a page explaining how it goes together. I used card stock for the back page and regular paper for the circles. Enjoy!

OVER THE RIVER FREE WATCHES

Today we read Over the River
by Derek Anderson

Directions: Print out the watches. Cut along the dotted line and give each student a watch. Have student color the watch then have someone glue the watch on them. For a younger child I suggest the teacher or aide cutting them out prior to needing them. Encourage your student to discuss the book with their family to share what they learned.

CHICKEN LITTLE SEQUENCING POP UP CRAFT

CHICKEN LITTLE

by Rebecca Emberley

BONK! An award-winning father-daughter team make the sky fall an entirely new way.
You may already know the tale of a not-quite-so-bright little chicken whose encounter with an acorn and gravity convinces him the sky is falling, but you have never seen the story told this way. A brilliant collaboration brings us a bold and colorful retelling of the classic tale, as crazy-eyed Chicken and all his panicked friends run away from the sky and right into an eye-catching gatefold surprise.
