CHILDREN MAKE TERRIBLE PETS MATCHING, COUNTING, AND FINE MOTOR

CHILDREN MAKE TERRIBLE PETS

by Peter Brown

MATCHING, COUNTING, AND FINE MOTOR

Children Make Terrible Pets This unit follows Lucy, a very large bear, who finds a very small boy (“a children”) in the woods and decides to keep him as a pet. It focuses on the comedy of the rolereversal-Lucy does everything for her “pet” that a human child would do, until she realizes that wild things are not meant to be kept. It teaches children to see themselves through the “eyes” of their pets, encouraging empathy and proper pet care.
