DON'T PUSH THE BUTTON SEQUENCING STRIP CAUSE/EFFECT

DON’T PUSH THE BUTTON

by Bill Cotter

Sequencing Strip

The core theme of “Don’t Push the Button!” by Bill Cotter is cause and effect, explored through playful curiosity and the challenge of impulse control. Ama

Sequencing Strips Include:

1 Easy Version: Pictures are in order and ready to be colored.

2. Teacher Versions: Full-color examples to show the students the finished product.

Directions:

1. First: color all pictures on the sequencing strips,

2. Second: Cut out the strips and glue them together at to make one long story ribbon.

3. Third: Cut only the two side lines (the slits) on the main ”Character” box.

4. Fourth: Carefully pull the finished strip through the slits so the pictures slide across the window!

Teacher Idea: I recommend printing this craft on card-stock. It is much longer-lasting and makes it easier for little hands to The strip back and forth without tearing the paper!
